Campbell River

Centrally located on Vancouver Island Campbell River is easily accessable.  Local airlines offer many daily flights from Vancouver.  This flight is approximately 50 minutes.  If travelling by road you can get to Vancouver Island via BC Ferries.  There are a few routes available to access Vancouver Island. From West Vancouver take the Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay Ferry.  The Tsawassen to Duke Point route is convenient for travellers who are South of Vancouver, for example Washington State.  Check bcferries.com for reservations and departure times.  Once on Vancouver Island take our new Inland Island Hwy 19 North to Campbell River approximately 90 minute drive.  If you wish a more scenic drive take Hwy 19A North Ocean Route.  This route is a little longer but well worth it.  It follows the ocean with gorgeous views of the Strait of Georgia and the Mainland Mountains. 

 West Jet offers service to Comox, 30 minute drive south of Campbell River.

Nootka Sound

To access Nootka Sound on the West Coast of Vancouver Island you may either drive or take a float plane.  By road take Hwy 28 to Gold River from Gold River take the road to Tahsis. This is a very scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours.
