First charter of 2010

The first charter of 2010 on Saturday May 15,was with Bruce and his friend John from England.

We left first thing in the morning and within two minutes of having John's line in the water he

got himself a nice 12lb spring. A good start to a new guiding season.Then after a few missed opportunities

Bruce hooked himself an 11lb spring on good old reliable PInk Lips,one of my favourite plugs.

With a light suntan and two nice fish in the boat a good day was had by all.

On May 14 I went out with my wife Monique to the lighthouse,just to make sure everything on the

boat was working right.To our pleasent surprise we got ourselves a bright chrome 21lb spring salmon,so the fishing

in Campbell River is pretty good for mid May,hopefully a sign of things to come for the next few months.
